Hagenbeck's
Tierpark is one of Germany's oldest zoos. It was founded in 1848 and
is still family-owned. |

Kirsten and friends Christian Schröder and Elaine Gillan pose
with a friendly goat who is looking forward to some goodies from Elaine's
stash. |

| Hagenbeck's
is set up to be very interactive, as you can see with this bear meter
stick. The bears do win in the height department! |

| Our
first visit to Hagenbeck's was for Jungle Nights, which are every
Saturday night in May. The zoo stays open late and there are fireworks
at 10:30 PM. Here, we are posing like the flamingos in the background. |
 |
|
| Kirsten's
favorite part of Hagenbeck's was feeding the elephants (shown here),
who ate everything except money (which they gave to the trainer!). |
