We
spent one day driving through the central part of the Black Forest. |

 |
| Just
outside the town of Triberg are Germany's highest waterfalls. There is a nice walk up, down,
and around the falls that we took. |

 |
| Another
one of our stops along our drive through the central Black Forest was the Schwarzwälder
Freilichtmuseum Vogtsbauernhof (Black Forest Open-Air Museum), which features farmhouses and
other rural buldings (like the one above) from all parts of the Black Forest from several
eras, which have all been moved here. |
 |
| The
town of Triberg in the central Black Forest is best known as the cuckoo clock capital of Germany.
Here is one wall of the Haus der 1000 Uhren (House of 1000 Clocks), where we did buy a nice
clock. |

| The
Schwarzwälder Freilichtmuseum Vogtsbauernhof (Black Forest Open-Air Museum) is spread
over a large expanse of land near the town of Gutach in the central Black Forest. The museum
is great for kids because you can walk through all of the buildings, plus the museum features
craftspeople creating such fun things as whistles that make cuckoo noises when you blow them. |
