Quedlinburg with its many half-timbered houses is on the UN-ESCO World Heritage List.
The castle district of Quedlinburg is on a 25 m high plateau and was established during the reign of Heinrich I from 919 to 936.
The Quedlinburg Rathaus (town hall) was originally built in 1310 but received its Renaissance facade in 1616.
