Überlingen, on the German side of Lake Constance, is often called the German Nice.
One of the seven original city towers in Überlingen, perched high above the town in the middle of the Stadtpark (city park).
You can see a very small Jim in the lower left of this photo taken in Überlingen's Stadtpark. The rocks form part of the original city walls.
The lovely Nikolausmünster (Church of St. Nicholas), which is a large church for such a small town. It was built between 1512 and 1563 on the site of at least two previous churches.
A view south of the roofs and spires of Überlingen, with the lake just barely visible on the right, as seen from the tower in the Stadtpark.
A view north of the promenade and harbor of Überlingen. Überlingen is called the German Nice because of its Mediterranean flair and lovely waterside location.
A lovely fountain in the Stadtpark with the park's famous collection of cacti from around the world behind it. The Stadtpark is huge and also cultivates other rare plants.
