The Pfänder in Austria is the highest lookout point in the Lake Constance region.
A view of the Pfänderbahn (cable car) and Lake Constance from the mid-point of the Pfänder. We stopped here for lunch on the way back down.
One of the attractions on the Pfänder is a wildlife park, where we saw red deer, wild sheep, wild boar, and ibex like the one above.
Kirsten lines up with several other photographers to try to get a photo of a red deer buck in the wildlife park.
A view of the Pfänderbahn and the Swiss side of Lake Constance from the Berghaus Restaurant at top of the Pfänder.
Jim takes a rest on the fence before starting on our hike down the Pfänder. The mountains in the background are part of the Austrian alps.
A view of the town of Lindau on the German side of Lake Constance along the hike back down the Pfänder.
