If you read our Greco Gazette Holiday Greeting in 2006 (one year ago), you may remember that it was a year of A LOT of change. Dylan entered our lives. We returned to Chicago after nearly six years in Hamburg. Jim changed jobs. … you get the point. We managed to fit a few of life’s biggest transitions into one year. It was both exhilarating and draining.

It is therefore our good fortune that 2007 was somewhat calmer for us. We took the opportunity to visit a few of our old haunts from years past… Orlando (to visit Missy and Bill and to take Dylan to Disney World where he met his first Disney character), South Bend (despite the rather unfortunate events on the football field), Columbus (celebrating Dad Brown’s 65th birthday), Washington D.C. (connecting with old friends) and California twice (a Brown family wedding and a long overdue visit to Jim’s parents for the holidays)! We’re quite lucky that Dylan travels reasonably well.

In speaking of Dylan, it is difficult to be brief. He is such a happy-go-lucky little boy. If you’re so inclined, take a peek into Dylan’s Corner of this website, and you’ll see just how fast he’s growing up. I’ll leave it at that. No pontificating about our child in words … pictures just tell a better story. If you do check it out, Jim highly recommends Who's Who? Does Dylan Look More Like Jim or Kirsten as Babies? Kirsten has done a wonderful job keeping up the website while juggling the demands of full-time motherhood.

We’d like to close on a note of remembrance for Grammy Lorraine Litwicki (Jim’s grandmother), who passed away this fall at the ripe age of 86. Lorraine was a wonderful lady, and Jim will never forget the times they spent together, especially while he was shuttling back and forth between South Bend and Houston. Carson's Ribs will never taste the same.

Holidays are the time to remember friends and family, and this note goes out to each of you with our warmest wishes for a blessed holiday season. To our friends in Germany, we miss you dearly and Frohe Weihnachten! To our family and friends Stateside, it was great to see you more often. And have a terrific 2008!!
