Our
first port stop was in Grand Cayman, a wonderful place for fun in
the sun! |

| The
port of Georgetown, Grand Cayman, which includes everything from tender
piers to boutiques to restaurants (yes, including a Hard Rock Cafe). |

poses by the sign welcoming us to the Cayman Islands. Dad and Kirsten
had an hour between tours to check out the island. |

view of our ship from the port of Georgetown. The ship is anchored
in the Cayman Trench, which is a shelf that drops straight down from
8 ft deep by shore to 6,000 ft deep. |

| Kirsten
dives down to get a closer look at the wreck of the Cali,
an artificial reef near the Georgetown port which we saw on one of
our excursions. |

 |
| Our
most interesting excursion was to Stingray City, an inland lagoon
of the Cayman North Sound. Here, we got to swim with and pet a variety
of stingrays (which aren't dangerous if you don't step on them). |
 |
| Even
Mom, who didn't go snorkeling, had the opportunity to pet a baby stingray
thanks to one of our helpful excursion guides. |
