Highlands are known for their Highland cattle, the relatively small but
very hairy cows with bad tempers, but we had to wait until Skye to see one. |

only animal we actually saw in the "wild" was the native red deer.
We saw him on a ridge above us during our Glen Affric hike. |

little lamb felt like posing for a perfect picture.We found him lounging
under a tree in the sun near the beginning of our Isle of Skye hike. |

| The
"wild" animal you see most often in Scotland is the sheep. We
say "wild" because they often roam where they're not supposed
to, like here on the road. |
