We
spent one day exploring the whole eastern half of the island, from

d'Or resort area. We visited a couple of the beaches, which were almost
deserted when we were there but are packed in summer. |

| The
lovely marina at Portocristo, another resort along Mallorca's east
coast. Cafes and restaurants line the waterfront, and there is a natural
harbour and sandy bay in Portocristo. |

d'Or is a modern resort built from an original fishing village and
has a plethora of holiday apartments for rent. |

Santuario de San Salvador. The original sanctuary dates back to the
14th century and was reconstructed in the 18th century. |
