There
are many beautiful towns in the vicinity of Lake Como. Here are just
a few of them . .. |

| An
amazing view of the Lake di Piano and Lake Lugano. The Lake di Piano
is halfway between Lake Como and Lake Lugano. |
| One
of the docking areas of Gravedona, the largest town on the upper western
coast of Lake Como, where we had dinner one evening. |
| A
view from a park along the shore of Menaggio, the larger town just
north of Cadenabbia (where we stayed). Due to its ideal location,
Menaggio has been a renowned resort for more than a century. |
| The
lovely Isola Comacina, the largest island in Lake Como. The island
is almost uninhabited and is only accessible by private ferry from
the mainland. |

| The
quaint fishing village of Varenna, across the lake from Cadenabbia.
There is a famous Villa in Varenna, as well as a 12th century castle
above the town. We just took a quick stroll through town. |
| A
view of the town of Varenna with the prominent bell tower of the Church
of San Giorgio. Though the area has been inhabited since prehistoric
times, the church was built in the 14th century. |
