On
our last day, we did a hike up to the Church of San Marino above Cadenabbia. |

and Dad G are barely visible on the middle right (look for Jim's blue
shirt) along the hike up to the Church of San Marino. |

hiking to is barely visible at the top right of the photo. |

| One
of the tiny chapels with mosaics depicting the Mysteries of the Rosary
that are found along the path up to San Martino. The path wound back
and forth through the woods before ending up the hill. |
 |
| A
view from the top of the hike: a cross towering over the lake. This
view looks northeast along the northern branch of Lake Como. |

 |
| A
view of the steeple of San Martino with Bellagio and the tip of the
peninsula sticking into the lake behind it. The church of San Martino
was built in the 1600s over a spot where a statue of the Virgin Mary
miraculously appeared. |
 |
| Kirsten
and Jim pose for a photo in the picnic area in front of the San Martino
church. Bellagio is in the background with the Como branch of Lake
Como, and behind it the Lecco branch of the lake. |
