We started our holiday in "the Garden of Ireland": County Wicklow, just south of Dublin.
A look out over the amazing gardens of Powerscourt Estate, a 64 square kilometer 14th century estate. The gardens were originally laid out in the 1740s.
The Pepperpot Tower in the Powerscourt Estate gardens. The tower is modeled on an actual three inch pepperpot.
A seaman's memorial at the shore in Wicklow Town, which is right on the Irish Sea. Some of the Wickow Mountains are visible in the distance.
Toasting our 10th wedding anniversary in the lovely gardens behind our inn. We stayed at Hunter's Hotel, the oldest and most historic coaching inn in Ireland, dating from around 1700.
The ethereal Lough Tay near Sally Gap, one of the two main east-west passes across the Wicklow Mountains.
One of the remnants of the Black Castle, a 12th century fortification on the eastern edge of Wicklow Town.
