On our second day in the Highlands we took a train from Fort William to Mallaig.
The beautiful Glenfinnan with the monument to Bonnie Prince Charlie visible on the far left. He landed at that spot in 1745.
A view of Loch Morar from a high point above the harbor village of Mallaig, on the edge of the Highlands.
The Scots are obviously very proud of their naturally-flowing spring water! We saw this sign and cup on a hike in the hills above Mallaig (although we didn't take them up on their offer).
A view down on the town of Mallaig. The Isles of Eigg (left, easier to see) and Rum (right) are visible in the distance across the Sound of Sleat.
