Before heading to the Alps, we spent an afternoon in the lovely medieval town of Yvoire.
A view of part of the town of Yvoire from the lake, including the 700-year-old castle on the lefthand side.
Jim and Kirsten on one of the main streets of Yvoire. Cars aren't allowed in town, so pedestrians can stroll at their leisure.
Another view of the Yvoire's 700-year-old castle. Unfortunately, the castle is closed to the public.
A view of the Yvoire's church and Lake Geneva. I think the wooden cows in the foreground add to the ambiance; don't you agree?
A view down the coast of Lake Geneva from the edge of Yvoire. The cloud formations made for an interesting photo.
A celebration of color on the front porch of one of the houses in Yvoire.
