One of the highlights of our trip was the journey to the Aiguille du Midi to see Mont Blanc. |

| Kirsten took this photo from where she was standing in the photo above and left. The building to the right is the one the cable car brings you to. Then you cross the footbridge Mom, Jim and Dad are standing on, then take an elevator to get to the top viewing platform on the Aiguille du Midi. |
 |
| The Aiguille ("needle") is a spire of rock 8 km from the summit of Mont Blanc. The cable car (shown above) from the town of Chamonix to the Aiguille is the highest cable car in the world! |

| Another view of the Alps with the town of Chamonix far below on the left. This point of the Alps is right at the cross roads of three countries; depending on the direction you look, you can see France, Italy or Switzerland. |
 |
| A view of the cable car as it leaves the Chamonix station and heads for the mid-point of the trip to the Aiguille. The cable car undergoes a total change of altitude of 2800 m or around 8400 ft. |
