We
began our Eastern European trip in Vienna, the music capital of Europe. |

| You
can't visit Vienna and not have a Sacher torte! We made sure to sample
one at the Sacher Hotel, where the torte originated. It was delicious! |

amusement park. This is one of the oldest Ferris wheels (built in
1897) still in use, but is very expensive to ride (so we didn't!). |

from the Gloriette monument. We toured the 1440-room palace (although
certainly not all of the rooms!) and had lunch there. |

| Since
classical music is so much a part of Vienna, we decided to splurge
and take some in. These are three of the performers at the intimate
chamber music concert we attended at the Mozart Haus. It was a beautiful
concert and very relaxing after a long day! |

| Vienna
was the home of many composers, one of which was Strauss. This lovely
monument, in the middle of the Stadtpark, is dedicated to him. |
