Hillerod has Frederiksborg Castle, and Roskilde was Denmark's original capital and has a Viking Ship museum.
Frederiksborg's coronation chapel, where Danish monarchs were crowned between 1671 and 1840. The chapel is now used as a parish church.

One of five reconstructed Viking ships (circa 1000 AD) that were excavated from the bottom of Roskilde Fjord in 1962 and brought to shore in thousands of fragments. The ships are on display in the "Vikingeskibshallen" (Viking Ship Museum) in Roskilde.
